Yesterday Mom decided it was time to clean the jets on the whirlpool tub. So, she started filling the tub up with water and left the bathroom door open so she could hear it running and not forget (my Mom forgets lots of things. She just says it's 'cuz she's so busy all the time.)
I just had to go see what was happening, I like to jump in the tub sometimes, especially when Mom has the curtain drawn, it makes it like a secret hidey place. But, this time, unknown to me, there was WATER in the tub. Kerplash! Mom heard scrabbling noise in the bathroom and came running.
Me, I couldn't get away from the bathroom fast enough! Man! I was in SHOCK! (I left a wet trail from the bathroom through the dining room.)
Mom got a nice big blue towel and tried to dry me off as best she could and I worked on the rest. Mom says I was lucky she hadn't put in any bleach yet, the tub was just beginning to get halfway full. Next time, I've got to LOOK before I leap!
I also want to mention that I, in all my greatness, am featured today on Wendy's LOL-Spot. The pictures made me and Mom smile, so if you get a chance, click the link and have a look. Thanks Wendy!

Well that is a big whoops! Especially for someone your age. I bet you won't forget that too soon (nor your mom either).

Rusty, you are not the only one who this has happened to - believe me. All my kitties have done it at least once - some more then once. It happens to the best of us!
Oh dear, poor Rusty. You really should look before you leap.
Oh Rusty! We're sorry you got an unexpected bath! (But that musta been kinda funny to see!)
Yoicks!
Zowie did that once too, 'cept there wasn't more than an inch of water in the tub.
Glad you came out ok!
Oh, Rusty, I'm so relieved you are okay! It's a good thing your mom wasn't very far away and could get to you fast!
Well, at least now you'll be extra clean.
I'm happy that you and your mom liked your LOLs. You've been a pleasure to work with. I think you get around quite a lot for a kitty of your years. Looking good!
Oh no! Poor Rusty...water is a terrible thing. I don't understand why the humans like it so much
Oh Rusty...you sweet leap before you look boy! Why is it that moms are always there to get a picture of every ooopss!
Yes Rusty, 'look before you leap' are words to live by. I believe you may have just saved me from a similar fate. I too love running into the bathroom and leaping into the deep tub. It only gets used once in a blue moon... but after reading your post, I'm going to be extra cautious!
thanks!

Aww, you meant to do it, I know you did.
Rusty, I feel for you. The other day exactly the same happened to me! Mom has no idea how only my bottom part got wet as the bath tub was almost full. I must have been out in no time. It was so WET...
Many purrs, Chilli
Whew! Glad you're okay, Rusty! Those human bath things are weird!
We are glad you weren't hurt. Getting wet is no fun!
Boy that was a big ooops! Glad you are OK!
