Saturday Yay!

I like Saturday, everyone's home. We do some housecleaning, but mostly we just hang around and have fun.

Boogie Mats are fun to sit on in rocking chairs too. I like to sit here when Mom's using that noisy thing called a vacuum. The new one's not as bad as the old one was, though. It's purple. I like purple.

I've been away for a few days. Mom has just been so busy helping to plan a thing called a wedding shower for my human sister. Why would she want to have a party to take a shower? Isn't that something humans usually do in private? I don't like showers OR baths. They're on my YUK! List.

Not much to do today. So, I'll just spend today doing my favorite past-time and get rested up for Mardi Gras tomorrow.

Thursday's Thoughts

Previously we mentioned terms of endearment and I accepted that "stinkybutt" could be one. But, what about "crabbybutt"? Mom called me that a few times today. I mean really, at my age, I guess I've earned the right to be as crabby as I want. So, take THAT Mom!

I was in the kitchen tonight fussing. Mom grabbed the food dishes, put a dollop of my favorite food, whipped cream, in the little dish and my chicken k/d food in the other. But, sheesh, I wanted to go out on the deck. Is Mom slipping? Is she not listening? Maybe she needs to lay off that pizza and wine...

Wordless Wednesday -- Summer Dreamin'

YUK!

Yesterday morning, I looked out the deck door window and this is what I saw! That icky cold white stuff was back. Now I can't go on the deck until someone around here gets busy and shovels it off. What's with that guy with the gray hair and beard that lives here? He sure has been lazy this weekend.

I also want to wish all the kitties out there a belated Happy Valentine's Day. Mom was just too busy yesterday to help me blog.

Fine Friday!

I'm not superstitious, so even though this is Friday the 13th, I think it's just a fine Friday. Any Friday is a fine Friday.

Mom decided to clean out the closet today. I think I fit just fine in this box, don't you? Maybe I should make her keep it for me!

Thoughts

I like the big windows in the front of our house. They have a nice southern exposure (that's what I hear mom say) and they get lots of sunshine on sunny days. I can see so much of the 'hood when I look out them too!


But, I really, REALLY like the porch! Windows all around! Best view in town!

When is winter going to end? I'm soooooooooo sick of it! I'd like to go out and lie on the deck, but I don't like the snow. In fact, I HATE the snow!


Is "Stinkybutt" a term of endearment? Mom says it is, but sometimes I really wonder.

Ut Oh!

This morning mom got the shedding comb out. OH NO! I absolutely hate when she decides to groom me! I want her to just do my head, but she wants to do my whole body! I mean really, there are just places on a guy's body you don't want her messing around with.

This is what she combed off me! Why that's enough fur for a whole KITTEN !


I think I've had enough and I'm gettin' outta here.

My two nephews from Pittsburgh

My human sister finally posted some pictures of my nephews, Bastien and Simon, on her blog, click HERE. I told those guys, they really need to make her help them set up their own blog, but she's getting married soon (May 8) and working a lot so she says she doesn't have time. I told them to just keep pestering her, eventually she'll give in.

Lookie what I got!

I was reading blogs with my Mom and we visited my cousin's blog, Island Cats, and guess what Wally had! He had a Boogie Mat! I told my Mom, I wanted one too! So, she went to the City and got me one. I LOVE it!

Well, guess it's time for me to take my early afternoon nap, that Boogie Mat just wore me out! Laters...

Hey, it's ME!

I'm Rusty and I'm new to blogging. My mom spends so much time sitting at the computer these days, that I thought maybe I should get involved too. Now, I can sit in her lap and do my stuff too.

I've been around a really long time for a cat, I came here in 1991 from the local Humane Society. Mom's surprised I lasted this long. I was a wild boy in my youth, let me tell you. I live in a small rural town, population is only about 1,058 people and this town was MINE! Let me tell you. All mine. I live a short distance from a river where the summer days were cool and the hunting was GREAT!

These days, though. I'll admit, I've slowed down a lot. The arther-itis gives me a bit of trouble and I get tired. But, boy oh boy, what a ride it's been!

Well, I'm tired now, have to take my nap but I'll write more later and have some pictures to share.
