This is not a "Wordless Wednesday" because a Few Good Cats reminded me that Friday is my Gotcha Day! Yep, 18 years ago Friday, my Mom and my human sister went to the Humane Society (Animal Shelter) and got me and brought me to my forever home. This has been a very fabulous place for me to live.
My Mom and the guy are leaving on the 5th to go to my human sister's wedding so I guess I have to prod my Mom in all the preparations for that to still have a good Gotcha party for me! Check back on Friday to see what's happening here!

Clean Toesie Tuesday
It's raining today, but I guess I can't complain, we have just had so many beautiful warm, summer-like days! Mom says we need some rain for the garden so the flowers can grow.

Easy on a Sunday
My Mom and the guy got some new wicker furniture for the porch. I listened to them ooohhh and aaahhh over it until it wore me out.
When they went out to sit on it, I just decided to lie down on the porch floor and take a quick nap (since they wore me out so much.) One of these days, I'll figure out how to get up on that new furniture and then I can REALLY nap!
When they get back from my human sister's wedding, they're going to have something called a "Construction Crew" come out and re-do the porch. I guess the foundation is old and the porch is falling into the ground (I thought things felt a bit slanted out there.) They're getting new windows and everything. I'll have to report on the work when it begins mid-May.
I want to thank everyone who voted for me and Grady in the Kitty Fight Club, we only lost to Cody by a couple points so I guess we didn't do too badly. Congrats to Cody, she sure put up a good fight. And, I'm sure it was a tough decision for everyone to make!

National Hairball Awareness Day - Friday April 24, 2009
The National Hairball Awareness Day is Friday, April 24, 2009. Romeo is sponsoring a "Who's Your Favorite Furball Contest" on his blog. Click his name above, or the link to the right to go to his blog page to enter.
The guy with gray hair and a beard who's married to Mom and lives here says I'm just one big fur ball. I think I am just floofy.
Bye for now...

Toesie Tuesday
Mom: Rusty! Who got those wet, dirty pawprints on the rug?
Rusty: Does she really think it was me?
Rusty: Guess I'd better just be good and get them clean before she sees them.

Easy on a Sunday Morning
After all the activity in the yard yesterday, I think a quiet way for me to spend my Sunday morning is with snooze on my boogie-mat.
Vote for me and Grady in The Kitty Fight QF #2. I think we were pretty cute. I hope you do too!

Caturday In the Yard
Today we spent a lot of time in the yard. Mom finally got out and started cleaning up the garden. Me I spent some time in my favorite pursuits.

Thankful Thursday
I have so many things to be thankful for, it's hard to pick just one or two. I'm thankful for my Mom and my home, and all my new Blogger Friends.
I'm also thankful for this award that I got from PinkynAsh.
The aim of this award is as follows:
*As a dedication for those who love blogging activity and love to encourage friendships through blogging.
*To seek the reason why we all love blogging.
*Put the award in one post as soon as you receive it.
*Don't forget to mention the person who gives you the award.
*Answer the Award's question by writing the reason why you love blogging.
*Tag and distribute the Award to as many people as you like.
*Don't forget to notify the Award receivers and put their links in your post.
I love blogging because it gives me some nice time on my Mom's lap and for all the kitty friends I have met.
I want to share it with:
Milo and Alfie at The Cat's Meow.
Baby Patches at Confessions of the Plume.
Wally, Ernie and Zoey, The Island Cats.
Eric and Flynn from Our Life by Eric and Flynn.

Mancat Monday
You know, us mancats have to keep a close eye on our neighborhoods and I have a great spot in front of the big window wall to look out.
I'll keep watching to make sure those Evil Intruder Kitties from across the street don't come over here into MY territory!

Easy on a Sunday - Finally Spring!
Finally, I have a flower in the garden! Mom says it's a croakus. What a silly name, it doesn't look like it croaked to me. It looks good!
And, the catnip is coming up pretty good now. I can't wait until it gets taller and I can sniff it and rub my body in it.
And here's some two-lips. Don't tell Mom, but I don't see any lips there. Another silly name for a flower. This one's not bloomed yet, but Mom says it will be soon.
Spring is finally here! Yippee! I've got to get Mom busy cleaning things up in the yard now.

Another Award!
I got an award from Baby Patches. It's the Life is Grand Award. And I also agree that life is grand, at least it has been for me.
Here are are the rules for accepting this arward which are very simple:
1. Give five reasons why you think life is grand.
2. Pass the award on to five more blogs.
So, five reasons I think Life is Grand:
1. I got a great Mom who loves me a lot.
2. I got three new cans of whipped cream to eat.
3. I have a nice home with a nice bed to sleep in.
4. I have a big porch to sit on which my Mom and the guy she's married to are going to do some upgrade work on to make it even nicer.
5. The catnip in the garden is coming up.
Five blogs that I would like to give this award to:
Milo and Alfie at The Cat's Meow.
The Boys at The Cat Street Boyz.
Cheyenne Millie at Millie's House.
All the Cats at WildCat Woods.
Tristan and Crikey at Tristan and Crikey are Living the Dream.

Mancat Monday
Let me tell you. I can't believe what's happening outside right now. It's April for cripes sake! I'm supposed to be getting flowers, not this cruddy white stuff! Boy, if anything will make an old guy grumpy, this sure will!
Look at what is out my window right now!
Enough already!

Easy on a Sunday...
I'm exhausted. Mom said the shower thing was a success. (I guess they all got clean.) Mom says no, they had lots of fun and played some games (in a shower?????) Mom said she saw the lady with yellow hair that lives with the Island Cats. She didn't come over to see me, though. My human sister's friend and her friend came over after. They all talked and laughed and petted me. It was nice, I like to be petted. I also got some ham, they had some left over from the shower party. Yum!
But now, I'm so tired today. Too much excitement for me so I think I'll just spend the day sleeping.
Oh, I just woke up for a bit to check out the blogs. In all the commotion of the shower thing, I forgot all about being highlighted in the "High Five Sunday" at Zoolatry.
Thanks you guys!

Finally Friday! Finally!
I'm so glad today's Friday. Tomorrow is the wedding shower thing for my human sister and Mom has just been sooooo busy getting things ready for it, that she just hasn't had a lot of time for helping me blog. I still don't understand this shower thing. She's got food and presents, don't you just need soap and a towel? Whatever... I'll be glad when this is all over with.
My human sister will be here later today and then they'll all go out somewhere to dinner, but I'll make Mom give me extra whipped cream.
This is the present that Mom got for my human sister. I liked playing with those ribbony things on the top till Mom made me stop.
